AMAZING MU CANG CHAI
Highlight: Mu Cang Chai is a remote district of Yen Bai province, where you can find the most breathtaking landscapes of rice terraces recognized as the national heritage in 2007. This trip offers you a wonderful journey to explore Mu Cang Chai - the breathtaking beauty of rice terraces on mountain slopes dotted with remote villages of local ethnics; the terraced fields lie among rugged green mountain valleys, under clear blue sky or a mysterious and crisp fog, bring to eyes an imposing scenery. During harvesting season, ready crops transitioned to yellow, while new crops still remain in their green color. The scenery is a big attraction to photographer and trekkers. Mu Cang Chai’s the most beautiful seasons are waterfall season on May to Jun and the harvesting season on September to early October every year.

At 08: 00 am, Lighten Travel tour guide will pick up you at your hotel’s lobby starting your trip. Following the national road 32 to Yen Bai city to Nghia Lo town, the journey offers you scenic sceneries of rural villages, valleys & mountains through the car windows. Arrive at Nghia Lo around 12h30, check in the homestay and have a lunch with a local family.
In the afternoon, we do a biking tour to visit surrounding local villages to discover the daily life of local ethnics living the region or Suoi Giang Eco-Park - a part of Hoang Lien national park, where you can find gardens of aged-old green tea trees and learn how the best green tea of Vietnam is made. Dinner & overnight at the homestay.
Wake up in the pure morning and enjoy the breakfast is well prepared by your hosts.
After breakfast, we will embark a very scenic transfer passing Tu Le town, imposing Khau Pha pass to approach Mu Cang Chai – the paradise of the most beautiful rice terraces in the world. Start a wonderful trek to view the majestic landscapes of rice terraces, local villages of Black H’mong and mountains from Che Cu Nha to La Pan Tan commune. This trekking trail is about 13 km (about 6.5 hours) up & down along the community’s paths to view daily life of local tribes and to interact with friendly people; along buffalo trails to captivate the most impressive terraced rice fields in La Pan Tan commune. Our driver picks us up at ending point of this trekking route for transfer to Mu Cang Chai Eco lodge for check in and overnight.
Wake up early enjoy the fresh air of mountainous area. After breakfast, check out for about 7 hours driving back to Hanoi. On the way, we stop at Kim Noi Hill to take photograph and see the full views of Mu Cang Chai Town, next we will trek abit to “Mam Xoi” on the season of grain or Sky Miror on the falling water to photograph & enjoy beautiful landscape. Continue to Nghia Lo Town to relax and have lunch here. Arrival your hotel in Hanoi, end wonderful journeys.
