TAM COC – BICH DONG
Highlights: Tam Coc - a flooded cave karst system. It is part of the Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex UNESCO World Heritage and Bich Dong is a series of mountain pagodas, built in 1428. It is situated on nearby Ngu Nhac Mountain, it consists of three separate pagodas: Ha, Trung, and Thuong Pagodas, in ascending order at the side of a rocky mountain. These destinations are popular in Ninh Binh, just takes about 2 hours and half by driving. They retain the natural creation with many caves, grottos, and historic relic.
Route: Hanoi - Tam Coc - Bich Dong - Hanoi
At 7:30 am our tour guide will meet you personally at hotel’s lobby for pick up to Ninh Binh (approximate 2.5 hours driving). There is a beautiful roadside scenery on the way. Upon the arrival, we board the sampan, cruise on the Ngo Dong river to across Tam Coc “three caves” in 2 hours to admire the scenic countryside which is known as Halong Bay on land. The land is the combined beauty of rice paddy fields of three regions: mountainous areas, northwest and Red river delta.
Back to boat operation, get on your van and transfer to the local restaurant for lunch and relax.
Afternoon, take a bicycle and bike into plenty of tiny roads to the villages, enjoy the nice atmosphere, stunning beautiful scenery of towering karsts on the wetland. While biking, you have many opportunities to taking photo. Arrival Bich Dong pagoda – an important religious place, you will stop to hike up and visit three pagodas Ha – Trung – Thuong pagoda for its history, local belief and structure. Hike to the highest one, there is a beautiful view from the mountain.
Finish your visiting, pedal back to where we start. Get on your van and transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi. Arrival at the door of your hotel is about 6:00 pm, end of tour today.
